Classes are taught on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30pm. Kids will learn a combination of Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling.

Trained since he was a year old under his dad Sensei Jose Zuniga, Joe “Ryu” Zuniga has black belts in Kodokan Judo, Shotokan/Goju-Ryu Karate, and 5 Animal Style Wing Chun Kung Fu amongst many other styles and disciplines. A student of the game, Joe has trained in close to every style out there from Muay Thai to Boxing to Gracie Jiu Jitsu. With over 26 years of martial arts experience, he has also branched out into the fight game with a record of 32-0 in bareknuckle karate and 10-3 in MMA. Joe spends most of his time cross training with students and instructors of all disciplines to constantly better his game and those that he trains. Check out his fun and exhausting classes for more!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu like all classes is taught by Joseph “Ryu” Zuniga, 4th Degree Black Belt
Zuniga martial arts systems, Blue Belt 4th Degree Gracie Jiu Jitsu as well as multiple NAGA and Combat-Do grappling competition participant and medalist. The emphasis of this class is survival in all possible self defense
scenarios where size and strength may not be on the defenders side. The purpose of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ is for the defender to understand the principles
of weight, leverage and proper positioning of ones body in regards to the controlling of another who would be the aggressor.

Kickboxing is a striking art where participants employ the use of their knees, punches and kicks. In our academy the kickboxing student will receive instruction in stance, punching, kicking and kneeing techniques and defenses, footwork and tactical striking.
