Dermosonic is a patented technology to temporarily, yet effectively reduce the appearance of cellulite, temporarily improve local blood circulation and relieve minor muscle aches and pains while relieving muscle spasms. Dermosonic is a comprehensive, non-invasive, non-surgical system that is proven safe and effective.

This dual modality system combines Non-Invasive Subdermal Therapy (NIST) and ultrasound. Ultrasound is used to warm the underlying layers of tissue, preparing them for the NIST function. NIST creates a gentle vacuum suction to mobilize tissue and temporarily improve local circulation.

Dermosonic provides an experience comparable to a massage. Dermosonic does not utilize vigorous suction or rolling which can lead to painful bruising and does not require use of an uncomfortable body stocking.

How is the Dermosonic procedure performed?

The Dermosonic therapy combines ultrasound technology and non-invasive subdermal therapy (NIST). The ultrasound is first applied to the treatment area to improve local blood circulation, enhance the breakdown of fibrous tissue to release cellulite, increase reabsorption of local swelling, improve fat disintegration, and prepare the tissue for the NIST. NSIT is then used to mobilize and eliminate fat deposits, improve circulation, enhance reabsorption and drainage of retained fluids and toxins, and improve skin elasticity and quality.

Will I experience much pain during the Dermosonic procedure?

Dermosonic treatment are not painful and, in fact, actually feel good.

What can I expect of the recovery after Dermosonic therapy?

There are no side effects or downtime after undergoing Dermosonic therapy.

How many Dermosonic treatments are necessary?

The number of Dermosonic treatments that you will need will depend upon your needs, age and lifestyle. We generally recommend that patients undergo one to treatments weekly for a total of twelve to sixteen treatment. Follow-up treatments are then advised every six to eight weeks.

Is Dermosonic therapy covered by insurance?

For surgeries performed for medical reasons, such as excessive hooding of the upper eyelids, impaired vision, and breast reduction, insurance may cover part of the cost of the procedure. While Dermosonic therapy is usually considered cosmetic, we can assist you in checking with your insurance carrier.
